The back of the hands show age just like the face and neck. The skin becomes very thin, almost transparent, and the plump fat layer disappears. This area of skin can be rejuvenated to become smooth and youthful looking again. Dr Ruth’s signature technique called ‘buttering’ , is a non-traumatic procedure, in which a suitable dermal filler is placed smoothly and directly below the surface of the skin to plump and hydrate the whole area. The effects are immediate and cumulative after each treatment. There is rarely any bruising or down time required.
